Dear music teachers,

We are excited to start a new MSSL, Music Student Service League for our South Coast Branch.

This is an organization run by high school students, under the guidance of our branch.

It gives leadership opportunities for our high school students as well as performing opportunities for all students.

We have a president, Theresa Yu, who has worked so hard for us last year.

We are now accepting applications for positions of :

Vice President- assist president, fulfill her role if she is unable

Treasurer- In the future, receive registration checks, keep track of receipts for expenses

prepare monthly statements for SCMTAC board members

Historian/recording secretary- keep record of all events, take notes in meetings, record meeting times/ minutes

Students: Please fill out the attached application and include your music teacher’s recommendation.

We have our first meeting at Tustin REI meeting room on October 28th, 2pm.

Teachers are welcome to attend as well.If you are applying, you need to attend this meeting.

Please send in your application with your teacher’s recommendation if possible.

Students can bring in their recommendation letter to the meeting if the teacher needs more time.

All who are interested in serving as officers, or just helping out, please attend the meeting.

We need many helpers as well as officers. Helpers, as well as officers will get Community Service credits

for each recitals held.

Positions will be appointed shortly after our meeting.

Our first recital is on November 17th, 2pm at Park Place Senior Living, close to Main Place Mall.
